Participants will need to bring freshly prepared cacao to the ceremony. Cacao can be purchased online on Amazon or in store at Whole Foods.

You can prepare the cacao two ways. If you are using powder, mix the cacao into hot water and stir until dissolved, adding any spices you like. If using a bar of cacao melt it in a pot until smooth, adding water until you achieve the desired thickness. Add spices & enjoy!

*Note: you may add a touch of honey or pure coconut milk (with no preservatives) if you like, however, in ancient traditions no sugars or milks were added. This allows the cacao to work as a sacred plant medicine by opening the heart.
